Have you ever gone to use the lavatory on a flight and found it super dirty, with toilet paper everywhere, a weird smell, and no soap, making it feel unhygienic, especially on a long flight?

 Yeah, I know what that's like. I now always keep a pack of tissues and sanitiser handy for just in case. On one flight I booked through Flightd, I came upon a reminder to bring travel-sized hygiene items—I never thought it would be useful, but that suggestion came in handy for that trip. It can get a bit gnarly on planes, though; now I always come prepared a little.

I was travelling with kids and was struck by how overwhelming it can be – how do parents do long-haul flights?
